Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology, established in 2005, is the only NAAC accredited Pharmacy College in Eastern India. It takes initiatives to develop scientific innovation, entrepreneurship development and encourages latest innovative startup.Pharmacy is the discipline that deals with the process of turning a new chemical entity (NCE) or old drugmolecules into a safe andeffective medication. It is also called the science of dosage form and design. There are many chemicals with pharmacological properties, but need special measures to help them achieve therapeutically relevant amounts at their sites of action. Pharmaceutical research helps to relate drug invention and formulation of drugs for their delivery as well as disposition in the body. Therefore, pharmaceutical research is continuing with new technologies globally. The rapidly changing face of drug development, as well as the technologies involved in the research, create an environment that will only accelerate in the next several years.


To develop responsible citizens who would be professionally equipped to 'Think Globally and Act Locally' and become reformers of society to meet the challenges of future.


To impart high quality pharmaceutical science, technology and management education to the budding professionals and provide the ambience needed for developing requisite skills to make a mark of excellence in Education, Research, Business, Industry and achieve highest personal standards.

Invitation and Call for Papers

We have immense pleasure to invite you to the One Day International Seminar on the “Global Advancement in Pharmaceutical Research and Startup” organized by GNIPST in collaboration with IPGA, Bengal Branch. Students and researchers may present scientific posters/model in this seminar.Authors of posters are requested to submit
one-page Abstract (Word limit - 250 words, Font- Times New Roman. Font size – 11).
Title of the Abstract (Times New Roman- 12, Bold).
Name of Author.
Affiliation and must be submitted along with Abstract.
The Poster should be 3ft × 4ft (Height × Length).

There will be three best poster and model awards. The soft copy of abstract must reach the Convener latest by October 19th, 2016. of the Abstract for Poster Presentations will be confirmed to the corresponding author withinOctober 20th, 2016. No abstract will be considered without Registration Fee.

Registration Information

Registration fees may be paid by Cash or Draft or Cheque in Favor of DIRECTOR, GURU NANAK INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. Payable at KOLKATA *Outstation Cheque demands additional Rs. 50/-.
Seminar fee covers Seminar kit and Refreshments.All Participants will be awarded a certificate of participation. Those who will secure any position in poster/model competition will be awarded Certificate.
